Loan Forgiveness

Filing deadline:certification form
must be postmarked by
March 31, 2008

If you can answer yes to ANY of the following questions, you may be eligible to receive loan forgiveness for a portion of your loans:  

Are you a:

		a) Nurse (LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner):	YES NO
		b) Teacher:	YES NO
		c) Early education care provider:	YES NO

If you answer “yes” to any of the above questions, Click here to download the Certification form.

Form must be completed by the borrower and a Human Resource Official. Mail completed form to address listed below. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

Borrowers must provide information on the college or school from which they graduated. NMSL will focus on forgiveness of older loans; submission of a request for loan forgiveness does not guarantee that loans will be forgiven. Applicants must reside or be domiciled in New Mexico.

Decisions made by NMSL and final notification to recipients will be made by April 11, 2008.
