This calculator provides an estimate of how much interest would be
paid each month on a Federal Stafford, Federal PLUS, or LINK Loan,
if you elected to pay the interest. On Subsidized Stafford Loans, the federal government pays the
interest while you are in school. For Unsubsidized Stafford Loans,
you are responsible for paying the interest while you are in school.
You may defer paying the interest by capitalizing it, which adds it
to the principal of the loan, and thereby increases the amount you
will pay back. This Loan Interest Calculator computes an estimate of
